Chris Meyer is Deputy Editor for the Orange County Register and responsible for 107 journalists who cover community news within the Register's network of twenty-four community newspapers.

Meyer worked his way up at the Orange County Register, starting as a news assistant with the paper, and then a reporter before holding a number of editing posts.

A Californian through and through, Chris Meyer grew up in Huntington Beach and Anaheim, and later attended California State University at Long Beach where he earned a degree in journalism.
