Garden Grove High School is a comprehensive public high school serving 2,177 students. The school has an API score of 709, representing a 62 point gain over the past two years, and they met their national Annual Yearly Progress goals in every category. Thirty percent of the students are English Learners, 47% are classified Socioeconomically Disadvantaged, and the ethnically diverse student population is comprised of 42% Hispanic, 28% Asian, 25% White, and 8% Pacific Islander/Filipino and others. GGHS has a robust extracurricular program, including competitive athletic teams in 19 sports, award-winning performing arts, and 42 active student clubs. The "Home of the Argonauts" is steeped in tradition, and enthusiastically embraces the school motto, "Pride, Performance, and the Pursuit of Excellence."
