Since opening in 1969, Paint Branch High School has been recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and a New American High School for their dynamic program serving all students, positive school climate, strong community-school partnerships, extensive parent involvement, and high degree of success with all students, as measured by several data sources over five years. PBHS was designated a Global Access School in 1995, a distinction which brought over $1 million in computer wiring, hardware, and software to the school.
